Of course I said YES! And asked what timelines she’s looking at. And then she replied with: “Hey Kim. I was talking with our Director, and we’d like to increase your budget by 5%. Would that be okay?” Ummmm... Let me think about that for a minute. HELL TO THE YES! Now keep in mind, this client was already paying a 4-figure investment for my services. I increased my rates with them in 2024. So it’s not like I was charging an outlandishly low rate. (I’m just obvs great at what I do, and they get a BIG financial ROI working with me…) But anyway. How fun was that?! To have a client ASK to pay MORE for my services. And then a week or two earlier, ANOTHER client asked out of the blue to UPGRADE into a premium retainer package. The thing with this client was she originally came to me in the EXACT same pathway I teach in my 5P Premium Business Blueprint. 1) She was referred to me from a trusted peer. 2) She checked out my website and online presence. Felt confident and reached out to book a call. 3) She didn’t want to jump into the full-meal-deal with me initially, and instead opted to “test out” how we could work together (she’d never hired a messaging strategist and copywriter before, so was understandably a little hesitant).
